Harnessing the Cloud for Inclusion: AWS Spotlights Diversity Atlas

We’re thrilled to share that Diversity Atlas has been featured in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) case study, highlighting how we’ve leveraged AWS technology to enhance our platform’s performance, scalability, and security. As organisations increasingly seek data-driven insights to build inclusive workplaces, AWS has enabled us to expand our global reach while maintaining the highest standards of efficiency and privacy.
The case study explores how Diversity Atlas improved system performance by 300%, accelerated development by 30%, and scaled to support a growing user base—all while ensuring 99.999% uptime. Cultural Infusion, a partner of the Australian National Commission for UNESCO since 2016, has been an Official Observer of the 2005 UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions since 2022. This year, we’ve taken on an even greater role, serving pro bono as the Secretariat for over 100 Civil Society Organisations supporting the Convention.

At the 18th Session of the Intergovernmental Committee in Paris, Amna Ben Amara highlighted the importance of democratising data for cultural diversity and raised concerns around the impact of Artificial Intelligence.

New Team Member

Amna Ben Amara is a researcher and consultant in intercultural management with two master’s degrees—one in Intercultural Management from Slovenia and another in Cultural Studies from Tunisia.
She recently completed her PhD at the University of Tours, France, and has authored several journal articles and presented at numerous national and international conferences.
Amna has also participated in training programs with Erasmus+, DAAD, and the European Commission. Most recently, she was a visiting researcher at the University of Paris-Est Créteil, France. Amna’s expertise will be invaluable as she joins Diversity Atlas as the Research and Partnership Co-ordinator, contributing to the organisation’s thought leadership.
