Ashura

This is an Islamic holiday which occurs on the tenth day of Muharram, the first month. It is commemorated with both fasting and mourning, to show gratitude for the victory God gave to Moses. Fasting begins on the evening of the 7th and ends on the evening of the 8th of August.
