Bhadrapada Amavasya

Bhadrapada Amavasya, meaning dark night or non-moon, this is a Hindu celebration. It is celebrated differently depending on where in India you are. Some fast for the day hoping for peace and harmony. There are others that visit the river Ganga to pray for the calmness of the souls of their lost loved ones.
