Blood Cancer Awareness Month
Blood Cancer Awareness Month, initiated by the Leukemia Foundation and observed across Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the US, and the UK, aims to disseminate information about blood cancer to the public. The month-long campaign seeks to raise awareness regarding the global prevalence of this condition and underscore the significance of early detection and treatment. Despite being the second most diagnosed cancer in Australia, leukemia awareness remains inadequate. Timely diagnosis and treatment significantly enhance the survival chances of individuals affected by blood cancer. Therefore, September is designated as Blood Cancer Awareness Month with the aim of minimizing the disease’s impact.
