Caesarean Awareness Month

Caesarean Awareness Month focuses on all topics surrounding Caesareans including reducing preventable caesareans, supporting caesarean recovery and advocating for vaginal birth after caesarean. Decreasing the caesarean rate helps prevent Placenta Accreta Spectrum disorder, which is dangerous to new mothers. In 2020, caesareans occurred in nearly 1 in 3 births.
