Caesarean Awareness Month
Caesarean Awareness Month is dedicated to raising awareness about various aspects of caesarean deliveries, with a focus on reducing unnecessary procedures, supporting recovery after caesarean births, and advocating for vaginal birth after caesarean (VBAC). By promoting informed decision-making and providing resources for maternal health, the goal is to decrease the rate of caesarean deliveries, which can help prevent complications such as Placenta Accreta Spectrum disorder, known to pose risks to new mothers. With caesareans occurring in nearly 1 in 3 births in 2020, it underscores the importance of education and support for pregnant individuals and healthcare providers to ensure safer and healthier birthing experiences for both mothers and babies
