Eid al-Adha begins

Eid al-Adha, also known as the Greater Festival or the Festival of Sacrifice, is the most significant Muslim holy day, marking the end of the Hajj pilgrimage. It commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s trust in Allah, as recounted in the Quran. Celebrations include special prayers, gift exchanges, feasting, and gatherings. Many Muslims refrain from working on this day.
