International Wheelchair Day

International Wheelchair Day is an annual day of events and activities taking place around the world where wheelchair users celebrate the positive impact a wheelchair has had on their lives and to celebrate the people who have helped make the constructed world of cities and towns better and more accessible for people with mobility issues. It is also a day to acknowledge and respond constructively to the fact of tens of millions of people in the world who need a wheelchair to navigate but don’t have access to one.
