International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day is a United Nations International Day, celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. It is also a call to action for worldwide gender parity, to lobby for women’s rights, and fundraise for female-focused charities. Each year has a theme, relating to women’s rights, with the goal of raising awareness and creating a gender-equal world. Purple, green and white are the colours of International Women’s Day.
