Kartik Amavasya is a dark or non-moon day in the month of Kartika month. This day involves prayer and fasting, worshipping Goddess Lakshmi with Puja Path. Devotees will switch on all the lights in their homes and keep the door open, awaiting the arrival of Mata Lakshmi.
