Lag B’Omer

Lag B’Omer is a Jewish religious holiday, which occurs on the 18th day of the Hebrew month of Iyar. The Talmud says Lag B’Omer celebrates the halt of a plague that took the lives of thousands of the students of the Rabbi Akiva, but other sources say it celebrates a minor military victory.
