
Martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib
This is a day to remember the martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth of ten Gurus who founded the Sikh religion. He was born in Amritsar, Punjab, India in 1621. His death is honoured as he is considered a fearless warrior, spiritual scholar and a poet whose 115 hymns are included in Sri Guru Granth Sahib, the main text of Sikhism.
