Remembrance Day

In Australia and allied countries including New Zealand, Canada and the United States, Remembrance Day is a day to remember the soldiers who died during World War I. A period of silence is undertaken on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, to commemorate and honour those who died in the line of duty. The First World War officially ended with the signing of the Treaty of Versailles on June 28th 1919.
