The Hajj is a week-long annual pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, the holiest city for Muslims. It is a mandatory religious duty for Muslims who are physically and financially able to undertake at least once in their life. On average, more than two million people attend each year, but the COVID-19 pandemic caused the Saudi government to restrict numbers.
