UN Romani Language Day

UN Romani Language Day established in 2015 by UNESCO, Romani Language Day promotes the preservation of Romani language and culture.The day aims to improve the well-being of Romani people and recognises the importance of all languages for strengthening diversity in all societies. Cultural rapprochement is fostered on this day, furthering the development and research of Romani language in Member states.
