UN Russian Language Day
UN Russian Language Day was established by UNESCO in 2010 to honor the Russian language and advocate for its equitable representation within the United Nations alongside the other five official working languages: Spanish, French, English, Chinese, and Arabic. This day, coinciding with the birthday of the renowned Russian literary figure Alexandr Pushkin, is celebrated with various cultural events worldwide. These events may include literary readings, musical concerts, art exhibitions, lectures, and theatrical productions, all aimed at promoting the richness and diversity of the Russian language and culture.
