Vaisakhi

Also called Baisakhi, Vaisakhi is a celebration of the harvest festival in Northern India. Sikhs begin the Vaisakhi with a visit to the gurdwara, a place of worship. After religious services, people begin a day of celebration, wearing bright, colourful traditional costumes as they take part in parades. There is a great deal of singing and dancing and chanting of hymns.
