World Parkinson’s Day

World Parkinson’s Day seeks to raise awareness of Parkinson’s Disease, a degenerative neurological disorder for which there is no cure. While advancements in treatment can improve quality of life, there are many health problems associated with this disease. The World Health Organisation reports: “Neurological conditions are the leading cause of disability and the second leading cause of death globally, accounting for 9 million deaths per year.”
