World Radio Day

World Radio Day celebrated since 2011 by the UNESCO member states and adopted by the UN General Assembly in 2012, World Radio Day is an international day to celebrate the medium of radio in all its diversity as the most widely consumed medium in the world. Its unique ability to reach a wide audience means radio is able to shape human experience and knowledge. Radio is also the most trusted of media, and a theme of the day is ‘radio and trust’.
