World Tuberculosis Day

This day raises awareness about the global epidemic of tuberculosis and the efforts to eliminate the disease. In 2018 alone, 10 million people fell ill and 1.5 million people died of the disease, making it the deadliest infectious disease. Marked by the World Health Organisation, this day commemorates the date in 1882 when SR Robert Koch discovered the cause of Tuberculosis.
