Laylat al-Mi’raj
Laylat al-Mi’raj is Also known as the Prophet’s Ascension, celebrating the Islamic prophet Muhammad’s night journey from Mecca to Jerusalem, where he ascended to heaven, because of the order of Allah. It is one of the most important events in the Muslim calendar, where people may attend special prayer services in Mosque, or commemorate the holiday privately at home. Children are told the story and taught prayers to recite.
