Lung Cancer Awareness Month begins (Australia)
Lung Cancer Awareness Month spreads awareness and educates the community on the signs and symptoms of Lung cancer. Being the fifth most common cancer in Australia, approximately 12,000 Australians are diagnosed with lung cancer every year. Lung Cancer develops from abnormal cells in both lungs, with the risk of being diagnosed over the age of 85 being 1 in 13 for men and 1 in 21 for women.
